Job Opportunity
Development Manager

Founded in 1999, Cool Culture is a citywide nonprofit organization that helps low-income families to access and enjoy New York City's cultural life, in order to provide educational experiences for children and to strengthen the capacity of parents to serve as their child's first educator. Cool Culture's programs address the absence of low-income families, especially people of color, in the audiences of New York City's great museums and other cultural institutions by providing free, unlimited admission to families and working in partnership with early childhood education, and other parent support programs. We help our program partners to meet their goal of supporting families; and cultural institutions to broaden the reach of their educational programs by connecting them with new and more diverse audiences. Most importantly, we enable low-income children and families to experience and enjoy the rich educational and cultural programs available at the city's cultural institutions.

Cool Culture's programs currently serve over 45,000 families throughout the five boroughs and it has developed partnerships with over 70 of the City's best-known cultural institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Modern Art, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and The Studio Museum in Harlem.
